What is Somato Respiratory Integration (SRI)?
Somato Respiratory Integration (SRI) is the other half of NSA Care.
SRI: Somato Respiratory
Integration
Our body is our one and only vehicle, our home, while we
are alive. Although this is true I often find that people take it for granted
and actually spend more time and money with the care of their other vehicle,
their car. My experience is that the better we know how to care for our bodies
by learning their language (and it does talk to us in the form of gurgles, gut
reactions and symptoms), the better we are able to direct our lives with
increased ease. Think about it, if we all started to heed the subtle warnings
that our bodies give us (tiredness, slight aches and pains, oncoming colds etc)
then we may avoid the physical crisis’ that come from our denial, avoidance or
busyness. As Donald Epstein so often says while teaching SRI seminars,
“Either
master the language of the body or become a victim of it.”
D. Epstein
The choice is yours.
WHAT IS SRI?
SRI, somato respiratory integration, is a tool that
helps people to develop increased body awareness. This increased awareness helps
them to better understand their body’s messages. They can then hear their body’s
whispers which allows them more choice about how to increase their level of
wellness and ease…….within their body as well as their lives.
Learning this tool also increases the effectiveness of
your NSA (Network Spinal Analysis) entrainments. Practicing SRI will
enhance and accelerate your ability to progress through NSA levels of care, from
connect and release in Level 1 to refine and transform in Level 2 and finally,
Level 3 with awaken and expand. Both NSA and SRI are the most exciting and
effective tools for increased wellness/transformation that I know of. You must
come and learn more!
Because our soma represents the body
with all of its past history reflected in present state, all we need to do is
bring greater awareness and acceptance to our present state in order to heal
through our past.
There are 12 different stages, or exercises, included in
SRI and once learned, they can be practiced at home. With the use of your
own hands, breath, awareness, movement and specific declarations you can bring
yourself from disconnection to connection and from distress to ease.
From the place of
connection and ease your whole world looks different.
HOW DO YOU
LEARN IT?
As with any new language practice is essential. Learning
the language of your body is no exception. We recommend that you schedule 2
fascilitated SRI sessions in the first week and then 1x week for 4 weeks at
which time you and the SRI fascilitator will revaluate your needs. Your
commitment to practicing at home and to keeping your appointments is the key to
your ongoing mastery.
NSA and SRI are wonderful complements to each other and
utilizing them both increases your strategies for greater wellness and
transformation
HOW DO I KNOW IT WORKS
Over time and with continued commitment to practice you may
experience:
- Greater ease/less tension
- Increased awareness which can decrease crisis in your
life
- More peace, joy and contentment
- Enhanced sense of wellness
- Better ability to hear your body’s whispers and make
healthy, supportive choices
