We apologize if you are having difficulty seeing the page
because of the drop down list. We are aware and working on the problem.
Welcome to In Balance Physical Therapy. We
offer an integrated approach to the human body designed to specifically evaluate
and treat dysfunction. We use manual
therapy to correct structural and soft tissue irritation. This hands-on approach
normalizes tissue function and decrease mechanical strain on the body during
activity. Extensive education is
included as exercises are given that cater to your body’s needs to maintain
overall improvements and prevent recurrence.
In Balance Physical therapy was founded by Cathy Parbst-Accurso, PT, CKTP
in 2005 with a vision of what giving great care to patients should be: one on
one hands on care. Our therapists
work individually with each patient to restore their body’s natural ability to
heal. This is done with a highly skilled manual approach, education and exercise
to empower our patients to take better care of their bodies.
She shares that vision of great care with her husband
Dr. Joe Accurso.
They teach health and wellness classes community that enable people to live the
lives they always wanted to with health and happiness. In Balance physical
therapy is about treating the individual and their specific needs. These needs
target the source of the problem, not just the symptoms. Our mission is to
empower our patients to take better care of their bodies, so they don’t need us.
This is done through individualized one on one care directed towards the premise
that structure = function. Whether you have knee pain or back pain, our
therapists will perform a complete evaluation and treat the whole body to
restore function, not just treat the symptom. This goal restores the patient to
total health and well being, placing them

Testimonials
January 17,
2009
I have been
aware that I have arthritis in my right hip since 2005. I am active and
disciplined about exercise and complementary practices, which I have engaged in
to, keep surgery at bay. In April 2008, the MRI of my hip indicated that
the deterioration was so far along that I could have surgery if I so chose.
I was in pain with just usual walking when I found Cathy in the fall of 2008.
Cathy's work on my body and prescribed exercises diminished the pain so that all
that was left was a slight discomfort. Cathy's knowledge of the body and how it
works astounds me. I am grateful beyond words to have found her.

“The staff at
In Balance Physical Therapy was
instrumental in helping me return to elite runner status. Cathy and her staff
treated me with the utmost care and expertise, following a professional model
that is both preventive and injury-specific. Despite having a busy life and work
schedule, I was able to receive the health team’s full and undivided attention
thanks in great part to their flexible scheduling. Having been a supremely
competitive athlete herself, Cathy understands the need for runners to resume
their daily training activities as quickly as possible. In prescribing a series
of exercises to strengthen both my core and leg muscles, we hoped to correct any
imbalances that had caused my left knee to flare up with a debilitating case of
runner’s knee. Sure enough, within 3-4 weeks I was completely healed and blessed
with a new pair of orthotics, custom-designed on site. I would recommend
In Balance Physical Therapy to any ailing runner who seeks a
holistic, family-oriented, and effective cure to their injury woes.”

When I came to Physical Therapy I had pains in my shoulder and
back .
With Jeremy’s hands on approach I find it helped me find where
the pain is actually coming from and with the home stretching
he advises, it really helps
to relieve the pain . I am very pleased with the team at In Balance Physical
Therapy.

Amazing results in just one session . I was able to resume my
training for my half Ironman “ I immediately felt better” I was never much into
stretching, but Jeremy showed me that in just a few exercises I can improve my
performance . Highly recommended!
